Summary

  • The website, the handbook and the README link the Android APK and the source archive at https://github.com/AKolenda/openfuel/releases/latest/download/. The links are openfuel-android.apk and openfuel-source.zip.
  • The site no longer bundles the files under /downloads. The _headers rules for them are removed.
  • python3 tools/project.py release-assets collects the three files for a release in dist/release/: the APK, its .sha256 checksum and the source archive. The site build still packages the source archive, because the checks inspect it.
  • The public config's default sourceURL and .env.example point at the release asset.
  • The hosting, running-costs and build-status docs describe the release step.

Release

A release must attach exactly those file names and must not be a pre-release, so that releases/latest resolves to it. The first release is created after this merges, before the site is redeployed, so the links never point at nothing.

Testing

Check Result
pytest tests 77 passed
Worker tests 54 passed
Edge tests 56 passed
Browser checks 250 of 250

The browser checks now assert the new link targets and inspect dist/openfuel-source.zip directly. dist/site/downloads is no longer produced.

The website, handbook and README link the Android APK and the source
archive at github.com/AKolenda/openfuel/releases/latest/download/, and the
site no longer bundles them under /downloads. A new release-assets command
collects the APK, its checksum and the source archive in dist/release for a
GitHub release; the build still packages the source archive for the checks.
