chore(go): upgrade toolchain to Go 1.27 - #999
Conversation
- bump go.mod and _tools/go.mod to go 1.27.0 - drop GOEXPERIMENT=jsonv2 everywhere: encoding/json/v2 and encoding/json/jsontext are stable stdlib packages in Go 1.27 (Makefile, workflows, hk.pkl, editor/agent configs, docs, skills) - re-enable the stdversion govet check previously blocked by the experiment - apply go fix modernizers: promoted-field keys in struct composite literals - use strings.CutLast instead of LastIndex+slicing where it simplifies code - convert config.DecodeRuleOptions to a generic method on *RulesConfig - share one process-wide wazero CompilationCache via sync.OnceValue; fixes a data race in wazero's lazy version caching when parallel runners created caches concurrently, and follows wazero's cache-sharing recommendation - bump golangci-lint 2.11.1 -> 2.13.1 (bundled staticcheck v0.7.0 panics on Go 1.27 stdlib syntax); adapt config: disable exhaustruct_v5 and deprecated gomodguard, pin goconst to previous detection scope, replace the errors.AsType errcheck text workaround with exclude-functions, drop three stale nolint directives - gofmt alignment fix in generated lsp_generated.go - ignore fake GitHub PAT fixtures in .typos.toml (typos flags random token fragments in files reindented by go fix)
x/tools' RTA call-graph analysis, which cmd/deadcode relies on, panics on Go 1.27 generic methods such as (*RulesConfig).DecodeRuleOptions[T]. Verified broken with x/tools v0.41.0, v0.48.0, v0.49.0, and master (2026-08-20). The make target now no-ops with a notice so hk pre-push and the CI job stay wired; restore the commented recipe once an x/tools release supports generic methods.

Update the stale Go version in .coderabbit.yaml.
The path instruction still states Go 1.26.0, but the modules, linter, CI, and release workflow use Go 1.27.0. Change the instruction to Go 1.27.0.

Add regression coverage for the new empty-name guard.
The name != "" checks change the result for inputs such as @scope/name, where the last @ is the leading marker. Add table cases for unversioned scoped packages and other leading-@ inputs in internal/rules/tally/sort_packages_test.go.
As per coding guidelines, Go changes must always add or adjust a test when behavior changes.

Add a regression test for process-wide cache lifetime.
This change moves cache ownership from Runner to sync.OnceValue and leaves the cache open after Runner.Close. Add a test that creates two runners, closes the first, and then runs the second. The supplied internal/shellcheck/runner_test.go test at Lines 79-105 reuses one runner and cannot detect cross-runner cache failures.
As per path instructions, Go behavior changes must always add or adjust a test.
