Motivation
Onward Flights makes onward tickets (proof of onward travel) from real flight itineraries. Airlines often won't board, and immigration often won't admit, travellers on a one-way ticket unless they can show a flight out. Agents can search real flights and buy a ticket with the traveller's name on it, delivered as a web page and a PDF, paid per ticket in USDC on Base.
Summary
schemas/services.ts.pnpm generate:discoverysucceeds.pnpm check:typespasses.pnpm buildsucceeds.Key design considerations
evm/chargein native USDC (Base primarily; Ethereum, Optimism and Polygon challenges are also offered), withcredentialTypes: ["hash"].POST /api/purchasewithout a credential returns402with oneWWW-Authenticate: Paymentchallenge per chain. The server verifies the transfer on-chain before issuing the ticket and consumes each transaction hash once. The price is $5, or $10 for departures from some countries, so the entry is marked dynamic. The same flow is available over MCP at https://onward.flights/mcp using the JSON-RPC transport (-32042,org.paymentauth/credential). It's also registered on MPPScan.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
