Signer Managers

A community registry of signer-manager contracts for Stacks pox-5. A signer-manager is a Clarity contract implementing the pox-5 signer-manager-trait, which lets a signer manage staking on behalf of stakers — handling reward distribution, fees, and withdrawals.

Repository layout

Each signer-manager lives in its own top-level directory as a self-contained Clarinet project:

<name>/
├── README.md # what the signer-manager does, how it works, deployment info
├── Clarinet.toml # contract manifest (includes the pox-5 test harness)
├── contracts/ # the signer-manager contract (+ vendored pox-5 harness contracts)
├── tests/ # vitest + clarinet-sdk test suite
└── package.json

Included signer managers

Directory Description
basic/ The reference implementation from stacks-core: automatic BTC reward withdrawals via sBTC, with optional admin-set fees.

Running tests

Each directory is independent:

cd basic
npm install
npm test

Adding your signer manager

  1. Create a new Clarinet project at the top level of this repo:
    clarinet new my-signer
  2. Add your contract and implement the pox-5 signer-manager-trait:
    cd my-signer
    clarinet contract new my-manager
  3. Write tests covering your contract's behavior, and make sure npm test passes. The Clarinet simnet loads pox-5 as a boot contract as part of its standard setup; if you want typed pox-5 bindings and the test helpers, copy tests/pox-5-helpers.ts and scripts/extract-pox-5.mjs from basic/.
  4. Write a README.md describing what your signer-manager does, its fee model, admin controls, and (once deployed) its mainnet address.
  5. Open a pull request.
