Add /clear command for conversation context #18

Closed

Description

Description

It would be useful to have a /clear command that lets users start a fresh conversation without restarting Turing.

What it should do

  • Add a /clear command.
  • Clear the current conversation context/history.
  • Keep persistent memory and stored documents untouched.
  • Show a simple confirmation after the conversation is cleared.
  • Add tests for the new behavior.

The implementation details are intentionally left open so contributors can decide how best to integrate this with the existing conversation handling.

This should be a good first contribution for anyone interested in working on Turing's conversation flow.

    @Mathi23ok

    @slyyr Yes, I'm working on it! I'll inspect the existing conversation handling, implement /clear without touching persistent memory or stored documents, and add tests for the behavior. I'll keep you updated with the progress.
