Spike and assess supporting Kuadrant policy resource compatibility for Praxis, working with the https://github.com/kuadrant community.
Requirements
- Support Kuadrant AuthPolicy attachment to InferenceModel or InferencePool resources.
- Support Kuadrant RateLimitPolicy for per-model or per-tenant rate limiting.
- Translate Kuadrant policies into Praxis filter pipeline configuration.
- Validate policy attachment conformance with Gateway API policy attachment specification.
- Test policy enforcement on inference request paths.
- For testing purposes, make sure Kuadrant is added to the integration tests for https://github.com/praxis-proxy/operator
Suggestion
Ideally policy attachment would work as a mapping of resources affected by a policy, but the way to configure that policy is not direct-to-dataplane, it would be via Praxis filters (and perhaps, HTTPRoute filters?) as a part of this spike we need to assess this.
