Chinese A1 Learning

An interactive Chinese A1 learning web app built with Vite, React, React Router, and Tailwind CSS.

What this project includes

• chapter and lesson-based learning flow
• pinyin map and tone practice interactions
• vocabulary composition and wordbook experience
• shared contract packages for future cross-layer reuse

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+ (recommend latest LTS)
• pnpm 10+

Getting started

1. Install dependencies:

pnpm install

2. Start local development:

pnpm dev

3. Open http://localhost:8000.

Available commands

• pnpm dev - run local development server
• pnpm build - build the app
• pnpm preview - preview the built app locally

Environment variables

Create .env.local when needed:

VITE_API_BASE_URL=

• Empty value: use same-origin API requests.
• Non-empty value: use the provided API base URL.
