I'm a Site Reliability Engineer transitioning into Systems/Kernel Engineering.
Over 7 years as an SRE, I've gravitated more toward low-level work. I've chased kernel stacktraces on ppc64le, diagnosed eBPF buffer conflicts with endpoint security software, patched u-boot to troubleshoot RISC-V NVMe support, and built custom packages for apt and dnf. I also contribute to Gentoo's LAVA/Buildbot-based Kernel CI.
If you're a smaller shop looking for someone who can wear many hats and has the appetite for kernel, firmware, or low-level systems work, I'd love to chat.
