This repository contains the code for the use case "Machine Learning methods for interaction control of FOWTs" of the project "Hybridlabs", task 2.1.

In hyrbid testing of FOWTs, the hexapod is controlled by means of interaction control. In the interaction control, linear models are used because of their computational simplicity and straightforward stability analysis. To improve the accuracy, we can utilise actual hydrodynamic data coming from ocean measurements or basin based hybrid tests. In this use case, we want to investigate the potential of machine learning to develop an approximator of interaction control based on data from hybrid testing in a wave basin.
The ML methods are regression models and can be developed using FOWT-ML library.
The use case is developed in the HybridLabs project, a collaboration between TUDelft and Netherlands eScience Center.
