Snooze actions missing from notifications on iOS 27.0 — Companion 2026.9.1 (2985)

After updating the Home Assistant Companion app to 2026.9.1 (2985), the configured Snooze Actions no longer appear on Home Assistant notifications.

Snooze Actions are enabled in Settings → Companion app → Notifications → Snooze Actions.

Previously, expanding/long-pressing a Home Assistant notification displayed the configured snooze durations. After the update, notifications without custom actions only display Delete.

The problem also occurs with actionable notifications. My custom notification actions still appear, but the automatically added Snooze Actions do not.

To reproduce

1. Install/update Home Assistant Companion to 2026.9.1 (2985).
2. On an iPhone running iOS 27.0, open:
   Settings → Companion app → Notifications → Snooze Actions
3. Enable Snooze Actions and configure snooze durations.
4. Send a normal Home Assistant push notification.
5. Long-press/expand the notification.
6. Only Delete is displayed. No configured Snooze Actions appear.

Expected behavior

The configured Snooze Actions should automatically appear when expanding a Home Assistant notification, as they did previously.

Troubleshooting already performed

• Confirmed Snooze Actions are enabled.
• Disabled Snooze Actions and force-closed the Companion app.
• Reopened the app and re-enabled Snooze Actions.
• Tested with a newly generated notification.
• Rebooted the iPhone.
• Tested notifications both with and without custom actionable notification buttons.
• Issue persists.

Environment

• Device: iPhone 16 Pro
• iOS: 27.0
• Home Assistant Companion: 2026.9.1 (2985)
• Problem began: Immediately after updating the Companion app to 2026.9.1
• Snooze Actions: Enabled

Additional context

Before updating the Companion app, Snooze Actions were working normally on this same device. I have not changed the Home Assistant automations that generate these notifications.

The issue affects even basic notifications without custom actions, which previously displayed the configured Snooze options but now display only Delete.

@bgoncal I started using home assistant about four months ago and there have always been snooze actions whether there were other created actions or not but now there are no snooze actions on any notification. I have a notification that doesn’t have any other configured actions and it just shows delete, no snooze actions. All snoozes are turned on in the companion app. I’m almost positive that it started after this most recent home assistant app update, which I just updated today. I didn’t install the final release of ios27 yesterday but I’ve always ran the betas of ios27 and the snooze actions were there.

Did you try rebooting your phone? Sometimes the notifications extension gets stuck and rebooting helps, let me know if it worked.

The door lock notification does have a created action, with no snooze. The device report notification does not have any configured actions, still no snooze, only delete.

You have actions that you defined for the notification "Lock door" and "Delete", thats the case that I explained above, when you define actions the app does not add the default snoozes. In previous versions of the app it did, but it was a bug (I understand you like it, but wasn't intentionally added and now it's fixed)

Your options:

• Add snooze yourself the same way you added "Lock door"
• Remove "Lock door" and the app will add the default snooze options

@bgoncal I need to apologize, the notification with the delete action is a pushover notification, has nothing to do with home assistant. I'm sorry, I do believe that all of my home assistant notification do have pre-configured actions, I was confusing that pushover notification as a home assistant notification. I never configured home assistant to have a delete button in any of my notifications so I though that notification should have had snooze along with delete. But, it wasn't even a home assistant notification. Again, I apologize for wasting your time, I'm still in the transition into home assistant. Thank you, I will create a notification in home assistant without any pre-configured actions to test.
