basically, we're assuming that when you drag a clip forwards or backwards, you're only intending to edit the transition with the song before. you can go back to what we had before (slip editing) by holding Alt while you drag.
To clarify: imagine you had clips A B C, with a 10s transition AB. let's say you want to shorten AB to 5s. so, you drag B to the right.
old behavior: AB is shortened to 5s, but your dragging meant B overlapped with C, so you accidentally created a 5s transition BC.
new behavior: AB is shortened to 5s, and everything after clip B is pushed back 5s.
