Lawal Abdullateef

DevOps Engineer | Platform Engineer | Cloud Engineer

I build and operate reliable cloud infrastructure, automate software delivery, and help engineering teams understand the tradeoffs behind their platforms. My work spans Linux, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, recovery, and cost-conscious operations.

I currently lead infrastructure operations supporting platforms used by more than 10,000 students. Recent work includes containerized production services, centralized metrics and logging, CRM platform evaluation, legacy email recovery, Microsoft 365 administration, workload consolidation, and infrastructure cost reduction.

  • Based in Ilorin, Nigeria and open to global remote opportunities
  • Interested in DevOps, platform, cloud, SRE, and infrastructure engineering roles
  • Available for carefully scoped infrastructure consulting through CloudNimbus
  • Contact: amiolastyle@gmail.com
  • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/eniolaamiola

What I Work With

  • Cloud and infrastructure: AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Azure, Linux, NGINX
  • Containers and automation: Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, Terraform, Ansible
  • Delivery: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD, Bash, Python
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Promtail, Node Exporter, cAdvisor
  • Security: IAM, least privilege, Checkov, kube-bench, Kubesec, secrets handling

Selected Infrastructure Projects

Terraform configuration for a Google Kubernetes Engine Autopilot cluster, Artifact Registry, and deployment service account. This project demonstrates GCP infrastructure provisioning and Kubernetes delivery foundations.

Terraform module for a resilient Kubernetes logging pipeline. Vector agents buffer logs in S3, S3 events flow through SQS, and an in-cluster aggregator forwards enriched data to OpenSearch using scoped IAM roles.

AWS microservices architecture using ECS Fargate, load balancing, autoscaling, ECR, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, Terraform modules, and infrastructure security scanning.

Open-source contribution work involving Python, cloud APIs, GCP integration, IAM concepts, CLI workflows, and technical documentation.

Current Engineering Focus

  • Reliable containerized services on constrained cloud and VPS environments
  • Observability that connects metrics, logs, system pressure, and workload behavior
  • Reproducible infrastructure and deployment workflows
  • Backup, recovery, migration, and operational documentation
  • Practical platform choices based on security, reliability, cost, and team capacity

CloudNimbus

I also contribute to CloudNimbus, an independent infrastructure services company. CloudNimbus helps startups and growing software teams with infrastructure health checks, production stabilization, CI/CD and infrastructure automation, observability, migrations, and managed infrastructure support.

Employment conversations and CloudNimbus client engagements are handled as separate tracks.

How I Work

I use automation and AI tools to accelerate research, implementation, and documentation while retaining responsibility for architecture, security, validation, and outcomes. I care about readable infrastructure, explicit tradeoffs, reversible changes, and handovers that leave teams more capable than before.

Open to conversations about global remote engineering roles and well-scoped, halal infrastructure work.
