Adds Swarms as a third-party MCP plugin: the Swarms Marketplace (swarms.world), packaged from its hosted remote MCP server.

What it does

Points at the marketplace's official hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint, https://swarms.world/mcp. Nothing to install and nothing to run locally. The server generates one tool per operation of the marketplace's OpenAPI document (https://swarms.world/openapi.json), so the tool list follows the API: 35 tools today.

Category Tools
Discover Search agents, prompts, tools and bundles; list and filter each type; fetch one listing, including the full source of agents and prompts the caller can access; query by owner username or name; read reviews; list tokenized products
Publish and edit Publish an agent, prompt, tool or bundle (or any of them through one post_v1_publish_product call), edit agents and prompts you own, attach a launched token address, submit a 1–5 star review
Your account get_me (user ID, username, credit balance, listing counts), your products, agent and prompt counts, claimable creator fees on tokenized products
Run Agent completions, multi-agent swarm completions and Swarms chat, billed to the caller's credits

Auth

A user-supplied Swarms API key sent as a Bearer token, declared through variables so Cursor prompts for it on install. It is the only thing a user configures.

      }
    }
  }
}

initialize, ping and tools/list are public, so the tools are discoverable before a key is set; tools/call needs the key, and every call runs as the account that owns it. The key stays on the transport and is never a tool argument. Keys come from https://swarms.world/platform/api-keys.

One tool, post_product_claimfees, takes the token's fee-wallet private key as an argument, so that key would pass through the model's context. The plugin README tells users to claim fees outside chat.

Verification

  • node scripts/validate-plugins.mjs → All plugins validated successfully.
  • initialize against the live endpoint returns protocol 2025-06-18, server swarms-marketplace 1.0.0.
  • tools/list returns 35 tools without credentials.
  • tools/call without a key returns JSON-RPC error -32001 with a link to the API keys page.
  • Not verified here: a tools/call with a key.

Files

  • third_party/swarms/: plugin.json, mcp.json, README.md, CHANGELOG.md, LICENSE, assets/logo.svg (Swarms' official mark, as served at https://swarms.world/swarms-logo.svg)
  • Registered in .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json and the root README.md table

Note

Low Risk
Additive third-party plugin packaging and marketplace listing only; no core repo runtime or database logic changes.

Overview
Adds a new Swarms third-party Cursor plugin and registers it in the marketplace manifest and root plugin table.

The plugin is manifest-only: plugin.json requires SWARMS_API_KEY, and mcp.json points at Swarms’ hosted Streamable HTTP MCP at https://swarms.world/mcp with Bearer auth on the transport. Docs describe marketplace discovery, publishing/editing listings, account/credits, and agent/swarm completions (~35 OpenAPI-derived tools), plus install notes and the Swarms logo asset.

Packages Swarms' hosted remote MCP server (https://mcp.swarms.world/mcp,
Streamable HTTP) as a Cursor plugin. Exposes 23 tools covering agent and
swarm completions, graph and batched-grid workflows, reasoning agents, the
auto agent builder, batch processing, models, and account monitoring.

Auth is a user-supplied Swarms API key sent as an `x-api-key` header, so
the credential stays on the transport and is never a tool argument.

Point the plugin at the marketplace's hosted MCP server
(https://swarms.world/mcp) with the key sent as a Bearer token, and
rewrite the description, README, keywords and changelog for the
marketplace tools: search, fetch, publish, edit and review listings,
account details, and agent and swarm completions. Replace the PNG logo
with the official SVG mark served at swarms.world/swarms-logo.svg.
