Unreviewed submission. This PR was generated automatically from a plugin submission form and has not been reviewed. Do not merge until someone has checked the server, auth flow, and listing copy.

Adds third_party/public/, a remote MCP plugin for Public.

Submission

Changes

  • third_party/public/mcp.json stores the hosted URL under the public server key. plugin.json references it with "mcpServers": "./mcp.json", matching PitchBook (Add PitchBook third-party MCP plugin #796).
  • .cursor-plugin/plugin.json, README (install steps and the MCP block), CHANGELOG, LICENSE.
  • One row in the root README integrations table and one entry appended to .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json. .claude-plugin/marketplace.json is unchanged.

Logo
The submitted logo_url (https://public.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/public-com-logo.svg) could not be fetched: public.com and mcp.public.com refuse connections from the build sandbox. assets/logo.png is instead the avatar of the PublicDotCom GitHub organization (name "Public.com", blog https://public.com/api/docs, hosts publicdotcom-mcp-server). It is only 90×90, so a reviewer may want to swap in the submitted SVG.

Testing instructions (as submitted)

You have to oauth to the MCP using a live Public account.

The submission also included a login email and password for a test account. They are left out of this PR because the repository is public; get them from the original submission record.

I could not reach the MCP server from the sandbox, so the OAuth flow and tools are untested.

Validation
node scripts/validate-plugins.mjs passes.

Note

Medium Risk
New third-party brokerage MCP exposes account and market data through OAuth; the listing and server behavior should be reviewed before merge even though this PR only adds manifests and docs.

Overview
Adds a new Public integration plugin under third_party/public/ that wires Cursor to Public’s hosted HTTP MCP at https://mcp.public.com/mcp (OAuth sign-in, no local API key). The package includes plugin.json, mcp.json, README, CHANGELOG, and MIT license, matching the same remote-MCP layout as other finance plugins (e.g. PitchBook).

Marketplace exposure: registers public in the root .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json and adds a row to the root README integrations table so users can install via Settings or /add-plugin public.
