GeyserBench

A Yellowstone Geyser gRPC endpoint benchmarking tool.

Overview

GeyserBench is a performance testing tool that connects to multiple Solana gRPC endpoints simultaneously and measures their speed and reliability in detecting transactions.

Installation

Download Binary

Download the latest release from the releases page.

Configuration

When first run, GeyserBench will create a default config.toml file. Edit this file to customize your benchmark:

Configuration Options

• transactions: Number of transactions to measure
• account: Account address to monitor for transactions
• commitment: Transaction commitment level (processed, confirmed, finalized)
• endpoint: Array of gRPC endpoint configurations:
  • name: Name for the endpoint
  • url: gRPC endpoint URL
  • x_token: Authentication token (if required)
  • kind: Geyser provider type (yellowstone, arpc, thor, shreder, etc.)

Usage

1. Run GeyserBench to generate the default config:

   ./geyserbench

2. Edit the generated config.toml file with your endpoint details

3. Run the benchmark:

   ./geyserbench

GeyserBench provides both simplified and detailed output:
