How do I get the output from the remote command?

I want to set a variable to the output from the remote command. I only see a true/false variable that shows whether or not the remote command failed.

Had the same requirement and #18 should solve it for you, too.
Using my version, I realised changing and reading the wifi password for a DD-WRT Router :)
