Hermes-based Risks could advertise capabilities but their execution, lifecycle and mobile Ask Border paths still assumed OpenClaw. This adds an installation-owned protected Hermes runtime for Border/member iN2N/eN2N and authenticated mobile operator requests, while preserving existing NCFED methods, enrollment and authorization.
Harness metadata is additive and descriptive; missing values stay unknown. Qualified subnet delegation, isolated peer chat, durable admission/effect ownership and explicit uncertain/interrupted/cancellation outcomes prevent automatic replay. Mobile Summary shows Border type/model/capabilities; Siri voice origin is preserved; Hermes attachments are explicitly unavailable. Source version becomes 1.8.0, mobile 1.0.3 (6).
Validation on macOS26.5.2:
Initial protected execution qualifies the read-only subnet profile, not arbitrary installed tools. T040 Linux/WSL host/control acceptance remains open with a runnable handoff; production Hermes confinement/model guard fails closed. Physical iPhone/iPad/Watch/Siri and Android execution are unrun. App Store Connect final processing availability was not observed. These limitations are explicit in verification and release notes.
Builds on #290 (spec148). See
specs/149-hermes-ncfed-federation/verification.mdandvalidation-handoff.mdfor scope and evidence. Published Good news for Hermes users! with all five images and both PRs; all54changed public files and3live browser checks passed. T055 is complete; T040 is the sole pending acceptance task.
