A simple tool for rendering BeamNG.drive replay files into video clips via the MCP server.
The output quality of this tool is roughly comparable to direct screen recording. However, if your screen recording setup struggles to maintain a stable frame rate, this tool may be useful as it captures frames directly from the game engine.
Go to Releases and download the latest BeamNG_Replay_Render.exe.
You also need to download FFmpeg and place
ffmpeg.exein the same folder as the program (or specify the path in the settings).
- BeamNG.drive (with MCP server enabled)
- Windows
- FFmpeg executable (
ffmpeg.exe)
- Start BeamNG.drive and load a replay.
- Launch
BeamNG_Replay_Render.exe. - Select render mode:
- Render Full Replay: renders the entire replay from start to finish.
- Render Segment: specify a start and end time to render only a portion.
- Click Start Render, choose the output path, and wait.
- When finished, a dialog will show the output file info. You can open the folder or the video directly.
Click Render Settings to configure:
- Target FPS: output video frame rate (default: 30).
- FFmpeg Path: path to
ffmpeg.exe. - Render Quality: PNG (lossless) or JPEG (adjustable quality 1-100).
- Hide UI during render: hides the in-game UI while capturing.
- Screenshots directory: temporary folder for frame cache (default is
.cachenext to the executable). - Language:
enorzh. Restart required after changing.
- You can switch BeamNG.drive to the background, but do not minimize the window. If the game is minimized, the tool will pause capturing and resume automatically once the window is restored.
- Do not manually drag the replay UI progress bar while rendering. Doing so may cause the recording to end early or produce a corrupted timeline.
- Ensure the BeamNG MCP server is running before starting the tool.
