Summary

This release introduces optional async URL fetching support via ical[async], expands ical.compat handling for conflicting properties and malformed durations, and improves parsing for CONFERENCE properties.

  • Async URL Fetching: Added async calendar stream fetching support from HTTP/HTTPS URLs via optional ical[async] extra (powered by aiohttp). (#668)
  • Compatibility Mode Enhancements (ical.compat):
    • Automatically resolves conflicts when both DTEND and DURATION are present on a VEVENT by preferring DTEND. (#669)
    • Allows parsing duration values missing the T time separator in compatibility mode. (#673)
