Improving Messaging Interface and Home page

Currently, the messaging interface replicates the front end of Messenger but the textbox on the bottom does not have proper borders. The borders are a little crooked around the corners. Also The user profile moto on the top looks a bit dull .

1. Try to improve the text box and overall getup of the messaging interface.
2. Try to bring some good colors/gradients(not to dark, preferably light colors) to the background of users profile pics and user moto.
3. The home page has a bit of a gap between the top navigation bar and the picture beneath. Try to remove that gap without disturbing the overall getup of the page.
