Version 1.1.0

Release Highlights

  • Modules converted to native MATLAB, no Python required:
    • Power
    • River (except Delft3D)
    • Wave (most functions)
  • Acoustics updates for parity with MHKiT-Python
  • Supports MATLAB R2023b through R2026b and MHKiT-Python 1.1.2
  • DOLfYN binary readers are deprecated and will be removed in v1.2

Additions

Improvements

  • WPTO hindcast uses developer.nlr.gov and handles differences between hindcast files
  • Compatible with MHKiT-Python 1.1.2, numpy 2, and pandas 3
  • Tests run on MATLAB R2023b through R2026b on macOS and Windows (#199)

Breaking Changes and Deprecations

  • Minimum MATLAB release is now R2023b
  • Converted functions no longer accept pandas inputs, and some signatures changed, see the pull requests
  • DOLfYN binary readers are deprecated, convert files with the MHKiT-DOLfYN GUI or MHKiT-Python and load them with read_netcdf
