The reasoning for this port is because I kind of feel like that if we have C++ available and easily ready to use, might as well use it. Might help clean up the code a lot and let us use snippets from other plugins, most of which are written in C++.
Status: The plugin causes WUPS to crash upon loading the config menu. Nothing should have changed access wise, but for now I'll leave this as a draft.
