I'm a research intern at Stanford's SALT Lab
, working with Prof. Diyi Yang, and a senior studying Computer Science in the ACM Honors Class at Shanghai Jiao Tong University
. Previously, I was a remote research intern at Princeton's AI² Lab
, working with Prof. Mengdi Wang, and a research intern at GAIR Lab
, working with Prof. Pengfei Liu.
My research explores how AI can think, learn, and understand more effectively. I'm interested in narrowing the gaps between AI and human capabilities, enabling AI to improve itself and better help people.

HZ stands for my hometown—a place of clear mountains and waters. Czar traces back to high school, when I loved playing Azir, the Emperor of the Sands, in League of Legends. Later, I learned that czar means “charm” or “magic” in Polish, which gave the name another meaning I liked.
