Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• npm or yarn
• Supabase account
• Anthropic API key
• Duffel account
• Mapbox account

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd honest-nomad

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Copy environment variables:

cp .env.local.example .env.local

4. Fill in your API keys in .env.local

5. Set up the database:

   • Go to your Supabase project
   • Run the SQL from lib/supabase/migrations.sql in the SQL editor

6. Configure OAuth providers in Supabase:

   • Enable Google and Facebook authentication
   • Add callback URLs

7. Start the development server:

npm run dev

8. Open http://localhost:3000

Vercel (Recommended)

1. Push to GitHub
2. Import project in Vercel
3. Add environment variables
4. Deploy

API Documentation

Chat Endpoint

POST /api/chat

• Main conversation handler
• Accepts natural language queries
• Returns search results, booking confirmations, etc.

Search Endpoint

POST /api/search

• Direct hotel search (bypass chat)
• Returns array of normalized hotel objects

Booking Endpoint

POST /api/book

• Create a new booking
• Requires guest details and payment token

Itinerary Endpoint

POST /api/itinerary

• Generate trip itinerary
• Returns day-by-day plan with activities
