Building things somewhere in the aether between distributed systems, embedded hardware, and overly questionable Linux setups.
I'm a developer from Germany with a particular weakness for projects that cross the boundary between software and hardware.
I try to mostly work with Java, Kotlin, Rust and TypeScript because I enjoy systems where strong abstractions, type safety and compile-time guarantees make entire classes of bugs disappear. Less sanity lost, more time for useless-but-fun asides.
Currently, I'm especially interested in:
- 🧩 Kotlin — expressive, type-safe application development, interestingly not mobile
- 🦀 Rust — async systems, networking and backend tooling
- ⚡ Embedded & IoT — software that eventually has to make real hardware do something
- 🐧 Linux — because apparently configuring the computer is part of using the computer
- 🔌 FPGA & digital design — currently venturing further down the hardware rabbit hole
- 🖥️ Modern frontend development — preferably Svelte or Solid over yet another React app

Languages Java · Kotlin · Rust · Python · TypeScript · C++
Frontend Svelte · Solid.js
Backend Axum · JVM · Node.js
Databases PostgreSQL · MariaDB
Infra Docker · Kubernetes · GitHub Actions · Linux
Currently FPGA · KiCad · embedded systems
→ learning FPGA development
→ learning KiCad as a successor to EasyEDA
→ making embedded systems unnecessarily well-engineered (some people would say overengineered)
→ experimenting with Rust wherever I can reasonably justify it *RIIR BABY*
→ trying to keep my Linux installations "boring"
The last one is going poorly. Who would've figured.
If I don't answer, I'm probably sailing, preparing for uni exams, or sitting in the garden pretending I won't start another side project. You know — usual stuff.
I use Cachyos btw. · Also, if you disrespect the IntelliJ platform, we can't be friends
