Introduction

Fancy Toasts doesn't support directly custom sounds yet, but it can detect sounds from vanilla Minecraft, other mods and texture packs.

They can be disabled inside Settings or turned up/down for specific type, which adds flexibility for different cases (for example, sounds for task can be muted, but other can stay at the same 100%).

Basic concept

Sounds are specific for advancement types, therefore there are task, goal and challenge types. The sound is played on the specific timing, that's based on the animation. Usually, it's somewhere at the start of the animation.

Built-in Sounds

There is only Vanilla Minecraft sounds that count as built-in for now. They are specific for each version of Minecraft. To change a sound, all you need to do is to open a Config menu (through a keybind, which is by default is k or through a mod viewer. There would be a Visual Settings button which is main purpose to change visual (or audio) preferences), then click the button Textures until it changes to Sounds, and there would be a list with all the available options. You can click on the sound to preview its description (if it has one), or double-click to select.

Custom Sounds

There are currently two ways to add custom sounds: a texture pack; a mod;

Texture Pack

You can load standard texture packs with already existing sounds, and select them in the Fancy Toasts' Visual Settings list, or create your own texture pack with sounds you explicitly want, following the official guide from Minecraft's wiki.

Mod

If there are any registered sounds in a modification, it will automatically loaded to Fancy Toasts' Visual Settings list. If there are sounds you like in different mod, just download it. If you want add your own sound... just make texture pack, there is no need to create a whole mod to just add a new sound.
