### Set some configuration optimization (optional)

There are numerous options you can configure to optimize the database performance. My needs are pretty simple so I'm just tuning / increasing a few memory related settings. Values to set will depend on your setup, need and resources.

sudoedit /opt/postgres/data/18/docker/postgresql.conf
```

> shared_buffers = 2GB
> effective_cache_size = 6GB
> work_mem = 8MB
> maintenance_work_mem = 512MB
