1. Chart Issue

I find this chart confusing. Drop the "cumulative". https://www.longtermwiki.com/organizations/aclu

2. Person Issue.

All people should be tracked in the DB and should have pages in TableBase. Right now these don't.

Also, while on that, are all of these really board members? Could be, just seems surprising.

3. Source-check issues

All TableBase tabs need source-check info. Also, we should do additional work to enure all source-chcks are verified (if one isn't, we do adjustment until we fix the data and could ensure future ones are)

4. Source Check

We need much better standardization. All source-check items in all tabs should be consistent with the UI. I think we should have this as the last column in each table. Right now it's in the beginning, which is very awkward, especially whne there's text.

On that note, it shouldn't say verified/unverified. Instead it should always be a color. But there should be a hover, that shows more information.

5. Valuation

Valuation doesn't make sense for all funding. Here these are nonprofits getting grants. Don't need to show that column when its a nonprofit.

6. Headers

There shouldn't be a link to the wiki page if there's no wiki page! ALso, "KB Data" is confusing. It links to https://www.longtermwiki.com/factbase/entity/aclu. Don't we also have a page for TableBase debug information? Both should be listed. And it shouldn't be called "KB" maybe "Factbase" for that.

7. KB Page

The top of this has a link to 'wiki page'. But that takes the person to https://www.longtermwiki.com/organizations/aclu, which is not a /wiki page. Think about fixes for this. What naming should we use?

8. Board seats

This shows ID for members! IDs should never be exposed like these. My guess is that this is a rehash of the previous issue -> Where we didn't make tablebase rows for these. But we need multiple fixes. One two ensure we have tablebase data for all these. Two we need good CI infra that checks many of these pages and has warnings.

9. Factbase & Source-Checks.

All Factbase Items should have the source-check dots. This should replace the 'source', which isn't specific enough.

10. Divisions.

This section is ugly, and there's almost no info about the divisions, making this much less useful.

11. Main page

The text summary part is ugly. It's randomly taking half the page. And it's not rich text. Also, when I hover over the tabs (Overview, People), there's no background color / cursor change.

12. Entity dashboard.

Search is broken on "Entity Profile". Makes dashboard unusable. We need integration test for this.

13. Data Sources

All data sources should have their own webpage, at like /data-source/ID. This should show information on the data source. It should have links / tabs for the Resources and Source-Checks it connects to. It should have some view for the concrete CSV/JSON data. Info on when we took snapshots and all that.

Right now we only store things like https://www.longtermwiki.com/grants?dataSource=ea-funds

14. Policy Tab

This doesn't have /races? Where's a list of politicians? Why is "Funding" here? (It should be in "Entities" for now. I think we may also have more related pages.

15. Source-check page.

This needs work. On the top it says "Grant·iZjHlXHhWy". The raw ID is confusing. Remove that ID.

"View Entity Page" -> "Profile Page".

This UI for "Found Matched Row" is super ugly, needs major cleanup.

Should also link to a clear link to our Resource Page, which should have a view of the spreadsheet in question.

16. Google Brain

There needs to be some flag to show it's no longer operational, with UI t o go with that.

17. "Unverifiable".

"Unverifiable" basically means "Source-Check Failed". Should be red, with X or similar.

• Terminology: Profile page (/orgs/x), Wiki page (/wiki/E), FactBase page (/factbase/entity/x), Database page (/internal/entities)
• Source-check dots: White (not run), Black (error), Red (failed), Orange (trouble), Green (verified). Last column, hover for details.
• Empty columns: Hide any column where all values are null
• People gaps: 4-layer defense — gate check, improve pipeline, rendered-page validator, periodic maintenance. Fail quickly and loudly.

Working on issues 10-13 in branch claude/fix-discussion-3852-issues-10-13:

Issue 10 (Divisions): Added description/notes display to division cards and table, website link icons, richer data parsing.

Issue 11a (Description text): Switched from plain <p> to react-markdown renderer with full prose styling. Removed max-w-prose so descriptions span full width. Future markdown descriptions will render with formatting.

Issue 11b (Tab hover): Added hover:bg-muted/50 hover:text-foreground cursor-pointer transition-colors to ProfileTabs.

Issue 12 (Entity Profile search): Found search was case-sensitive — typing "Anthropic" returned 404. Fixed resolveEntityStableId to lowercase slug matching. Also fixed double-request issue and synced input with URL params.

Issue 13 (Data source pages): Filed as #3863.

Review depth: All PRs got build/test/CI verification + code review. #3870 (source-check dots) got the most thorough review — dead code cleanup, duplicate call fixes. Remaining work: #3858 (ensure all FactBase-referenced people have TableBase entries) is the largest item — involves gate checks, pipeline integration, rendered-page validation, and periodic maintenance. Planned for a separate session.

Decomposition review (2026-04-08)

Revisiting this discussion four days later. Most of the raw list has already been decomposed into trackable issues (#3854-#3860, #3863) and several PRs have shipped — nice work. But the decomposition is incomplete: items 14-17 were never filed, #3858 is still unstarted, and several items have meaningful overlap with other open epics that should be cross-linked before more work starts.

• Item 17 — "Unverifiable" label should render as red with X icon. Small UI fix; fold into Verification Dots Everywhere — Three-Tier Progressive Disclosure #3802 or file standalone.

Suggested grouping for an agent to batch-file:

• Data integrity / schema (1 issue): Item 16 (defunct-org status field).
• Source-check UI polish (1-2 issues): Items 15 + 17, either combined or as sub-items under Verification Dots Everywhere — Three-Tier Progressive Disclosure #3802.
• Navigation (1 issue): Item 14 (Policy tab).

Soft deadline: 2026-04-22 (two weeks) for the four remaining items to be filed and the four overlap cross-links added. After that they go stale and the screenshots lose context. The hardest remaining piece, #3858, should also have a dedicated session scheduled by then — it's the 4-layer people-coverage defense and it's been sitting since 2026-04-05.
