Remove unneeded dashboard dependencies where possible

Excess dependencies lead to noise generated by dependabot, where we actually don't want to consume the latest version. However, some dependabot PRs are security related, so we need to fix those.

To reduce the number of PRs, we could start by batching the dependabot upgrades.
