Release schedule: weekly stable releases, betas in between

Until now Hylki shipped a stable release almost every day, often several in a row, and the beta channel only caught up with stable afterwards. This was overly enthusiastic on my part and I'm correcting it now. From 1.42.0 on, releases follow a schedule instead.

Stable

• A new stable release about once a week. Its number follows Semantic Versioning (see Version numbers below), so most weeks bring 1.x.0: 1.42.0, then 1.43.0 and so on, and a week with fixes only brings a patch release instead.
• A stable release carries what the betas before it carried, so nothing reaches stable without having been out in a beta first.
• Between weekly releases, a patch release (1.42.1 and so on) ships only for an urgent fix: a crash, data loss, a security problem, or an account that can no longer connect. Everything else waits for the next weekly release.

Beta

• Betas are built from the main branch as work lands, and are numbered after the stable release they lead to: 1.42.0-beta.1, 1.42.0-beta.2 and so on.
• 1.42.0-beta.1 is out now: https://github.com/hyprlab/hylki/releases/tag/v1.42.0-beta.1
• The beta installs alongside the stable app as a separate application (co.hyprlab.Hylki.Beta). It uses the same accounts, settings and mail cache as the stable app, so there is nothing to set up twice. Betas are built for x86_64 only.

Issues and requests

• When a fix or a feature lands, the issue gets a short reply naming the beta that carries it.
• The issue is closed when the stable release carrying it ships.

Translations

• No new text is added to the app between the last beta before a stable release and that release, so translations can be finished for it.

Version numbers

• Numbering carries on from 1.42.0. The Releases page and the tags keep the newest release of each 1.x line and the current beta; older patch releases and betas were removed from both. The notes for every version are in CHANGELOG.md.
• From 1.42.0 on, version numbers follow Semantic Versioning 2.0.0. For an app, the compatibility that counts is an existing install: your accounts, settings and mail cache, and the ways other programs start Hylki.
  • Major (2.0.0): a change an existing install does not carry over unchanged, such as settings or a cache an older version can no longer read, a removed feature, setting or provider, or a changed app ID or command-line interface.
  • Minor (1.43.0): new features that leave everything existing working as before.
  • Patch (1.42.1): bug fixes only.
• Betas are pre-releases of the version they lead to (1.43.0-beta.1). If main gains a change that calls for a different number, the next beta takes it, for example 2.0.0-beta.1 after a breaking change.
• A published version is never replaced with different contents. A mistake is corrected in a new release.
