idea / problem
Herdr is currently primarily available in English, with a Simplified Chinese README translation.
For French-speaking users, the README, documentation and website are therefore not available in French. This creates an unnecessary language barrier for users who would like to discover, install and use Herdr.
I would like to contribute a French localization of the user-facing content, while keeping the English version as the source of truth.
requested change
I would like Herdr to support a French localization for its user-facing content.
The initial scope could include:
I would be willing to do the French translation and maintain it as the English content evolves.
Before making any changes, I would follow whatever localization structure and workflow the maintainers prefer.
why you want this
This would make Herdr more accessible to French-speaking developers and users.
It would also provide a consistent French experience across the project website, documentation and README instead of requiring users to translate the content themselves.
I would also like to contribute to Herdr as a French-speaking developer, and localization seems like a concrete way to provide useful work to the project without changing its core functionality.
