desync make --store ssh://... invokes invalid `casync pull`

desync tries to run casync pull by default -- and that's not a valid casync verb.

Further, setting CASYNC_REMOTE_PATH='desync --verbose', the server returns some kind of EOF.

How can I try to inspect what's going on under the hood on the server?

The ssh key and user definitely has write access.

desync pull doesn't sound very much like dump chunks to me...

How am I supposed to write to a ssh:// chunk store?

After some time hunting, I found out that with the work-around the the cause was a ENOSPC -- but yeah, it would have been great if the ERRNO info could have been passed on directly -- it would have communicated much better and made issue tracing much easier!

The current quite inefficient work-around seems to be to make to a local index (without a remote store) then chop that index to sftp:// store.

You should be able to make directly into an SFTP store, without having to first do it locally, like so:

desync make -s sftp://HOST/tmp/store /tmp/blob1.caibx testdata/blob1

The ssh:// protocol and pull subcommand only exist for compatibility with casync and that type of store is read-only, but you should have plenty of other (writable) options like sftp, http, ...
