Testing Summary for DRE Tool
Successfully installed the dre tool (versions 0.6.5 and 0.6.4), but encountered a critical bug preventing its use:

Binaries are correctly formatted and executable
Help commands work perfectly

Issue ❌
Memory Overflow Bug: Both versions crash with "capacity overflow" errors when trying to perform any network operations

Please confirm you downloaded [dre-x86_64-apple-darwin](https://github.com/dfinity/dre/releases/download/v0.6.5/dre-x86_64-apple-darwin) and this was the program that failed.

Reason: there is a possibility that dre upgrade ing from a prior release downloaded the wrong binary for you, and your Mac is using Rosetta or somesuch to run the wrong binary, which isn't a scenario we support.

Hey Manu, yes I confirm that it's the one I downloaded and installed. I didn't upgrade from a previous release.

This may be an issue with the way we build our release binaries.
@infostd4 @Gwojda to confirm the above, could one of you please try to git clone the repo and then cargo build --release --bin dre and then try to run the binary you get in target/release/dre ?

Thanks @Gwojda . This means we need to either

1. fix the cross-compilation
2. start building the dre cli natively on x86_64 darwin, or
3. stop releasing the old x86_64 darwin targets

@Gwojda can you maybe help with any of the above options? Or do you have preference? Same question for @infostd4 ? None of us in the team have x86_64 macbooks to test so it will be a fair amount of work for us to check if the fix works.
