I wrote a documentation for importing segments for existing BDRC outlines when importing a volume:

this is not too urgent as the first volumes we will import don't have a BDRC outline, but then let's first implement the import from OCR (which is a bit easier and will represent 90% of cases). We can keep the other import for when we have less urgent things to do
