Unable to retrieve request body in pipelined web service

Hello,

I'm having trouble retrieving the body of a request in a Hop web service (pipeline).

I think I've checked everything several times.

I've configured the "Request Body content variable," but I'm still getting an empty string when I retrieve it.

Retrieving the headers is fine.

I've tried sending the body in different formats. Ideally, I'd like to send JSON.

It's replacing my variable, because it's not retrieving ${my_var} but an empty string.

I tested it first with the Docker image, and then locally on my machine, but I get the same result.

Is there a bug, or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Can you provide a sample call you are making?
Make sure you are doing a POST it won't work with a GET call.

I was testing with Postman, but I get the same result with cURL.

Example:

 curl --location --request POST 'localhost:9090/hop/webService?service=my_webservice' --header 'Content-Type: application/json' --header 'Authorization: Basic XXXXXXXXX' --data '{
    "test": 1
}'

And the result, I retrieve the body and headers and send them back for debugging:

Thank you, I have reported the issue.

I found the issue: requests to /hop/webService are redirected by Jetty with a 301 to /hop/webService/, which causes the request body to be lost.

I will submit a PR to fix this. It will support both /hop/webService and /hop/webService/ to ensure compatibility.
