Paraglider's movement system is server authoritative, meaning the server is solely responsible for determining which action player is taking; e.g. running, standing, airborne. This unfortunately may create discrepancies in places where another mod merely simulates being in action client-side, like walking on a surface, without interacting with grounded flag on server-side. I don't know how the two examples above are implemented, but I assume it stems from the aforementioned issue, which I can't think of a good way of circumventing.

Ladders are kind of funny in this regard because, last time I checked, it is surprisingly hard to check if a player is "using a ladder", or any climbable surfaces. There's no state to check from server side since that's how a ladder is, any entity just pushes against it and the entity goes up unceremoniously. Because of this reason, "climbing" state isn't added to the player movement list. Similarly "elytra flying with firework" state was planned but dropped due to it being difficult to check. (it is the firework entity that binds to the player and actively manipulates position/delta)

Maybe I'll look into Create compat someday but don't get your hopes up. Same for Confluence, or other mods with similar issues. Addition of on-ladder player state is not planned due to the difficulty in implementation.
