Move to the last entry → right-click menu → “Insert subtitle after current line...” Did it disappear again after v5.1.0-beta5? What's going on?

It should not have disappeared. That menu entry was added specifically for the “last subtitle line” case, so losing it again after v5.1.0-beta5 would be a regression, not an intentional UI change.

The expected behavior is: select the last subtitle in the grid, right-click that row, and the context menu should still offer “Insert subtitle after current line...”. This is the only way to insert after the final entry from the grid context menu, since the normal “insert between rows” path does not apply at the end.

Most likely this got broken by later context-menu cleanup/rebuild work, where the menu items are shown/hidden based on selection state and row position. The command itself should still exist; the issue is probably that the menu item is no longer being added or made visible when the selected row is the last row.

Please test with the newest beta build first, since there have been several rapid beta releases after beta5. If it is still missing there, the useful details are:

• exact version, e.g. v5.1.0-beta6, beta7, beta11
• OS: Windows/macOS/Linux
• whether the last row is selected before right-clicking
• whether you right-click the row itself or the empty grid area below it

If it reproduces on the latest beta, this should be tracked as a small regression in the subtitle grid context menu.

Thanks for your reply. I’m starting to get it: select the “last subtitle” in the grid, right-click that row, and the context menu should still offer “Insert subtitle after current line...”. This method does work, but... there are many times—for example, when working on a finished document—when I want to insert a set of lyrics in the middle... Since I use this feature so often, it would be a bit inconvenient if it were gone.
Also, when using “Speech to Text,” the “Input language” field no longer remembers the last selection; it just defaults to the document’s language.
