remotely adding a survey

Issue

We are trying to find a way to create/upload a new survey and attachments remotely. Ideally we could leverage the Excel template to develop the form remotely and upload it via the API

Solution

Is there a way to augment the APi to be able to do this?

Hi @elysenko the SurveyCTO API doesn't support what you're describing but there might be a workaround. In the pysurveycto library we've implemented a couple of functionalities (like list_forms()) [EDIT: I see you were the one who added this 💯 ] not available in the API by using the SurveyCTO web console's internal endpoints. We just examined the network requests when using the SurveyCTO web console to find the right endpoint. You could potentially explore this approach, and if you get it working we'd be happy to add the functionality to pysurveycto.

Not that I am aware of. Till these endpoints become official SurveyCTO provided APIs, we may have to continue adding functionalities like these on a need basis.
We will also check with someone at SurveyCTO to see if they have any documentation and get back to you if I find anything.

I can confirm that SurveyCTO doesn't have any official documentation for the internal endpoints, it'll require some exploration through the web UI + looking at the browser dev tools. We've also reached out to SurveyCTO support and they've been very helpful in the past.

Can either of you confirm the base url is correct? I could not find the urls in devtools for uploading or saving. Granted, I am not a web developer may be missing something.
